Alex Buehlmann works closely with McGuire’s CEO, Charles Moore, to bring innovative operating practices and forward-thinking consumer experiences and marketing solutions to one of the Bay Area’s most respected real estate brands. She serves on the executive committee of the company and contributes to the strategic direction, long-term planning, and fiscal decision making processes.
As COO, Alex’s focus is on strategic growth and operations, agent development, marketing, and community involvement for the firm’s five offices. Building on her 20 years as a marketing professional, Alex believes that leading the daily operations of the firm is the pinnacle of brand management; ensuring the consumer experience is consistently high at every level.
Prior to her role as COO, Alex was the Vice President of Marketing at McGuire for nearly 13 years. During her tenure she repositioned the print-based company as an innovative leader in digital marketing utilizing industry-leading websites, online advertising, social, and mobile programs.
She has been a featured speaker and panelist at industry events and for campaigns, including Luxury Marketing Council, Enterprise Network, Inman Connect, and CAR State Convention (It’s my data). In addition she has served on DocuSign’s Executive Advisory Council for both the e-signature platform and the Transaction Rooms implementation and Lone Wolf integration.
Alex began her career, focusing on field marketing and advertising. Over the next 10 years she worked in a variety of industries, including executive retail services, contingent workforce services, and mutual funds before joining McGuire in 2000.
Away from the office, Alex enjoys the myriad of activities that Bay Area living affords — hiking, running, and particularly swimming. A competitive swimmer in her youth, Alex turned to the bay as a bracing morning ritual in college. She joined the Dolphin Club in 1989 and believes that the best view in the Bay Area is in the water, watching the sun rise over the city.
